MY BUCKET LIST
I haven’t visited this location yet. It’s on my bucket list, and I wanted to share a little information in case you get a chance to explore it before I do.
Giant Spruce Trail follows Cape Creek through the forest at Cape Perpetua to a large, old Sitka spruce. It’s a short out-and-back walk near Yachats, with ferns, big trees, and a creek along the way.

Why it’s on my list
I discovered Giant Spruce Trail while researching a trip to the Oregon Coast, but I didn’t get a chance to hike it. It looks like a beautiful walk through lush forest, with a massive tree waiting at the end.
I love chasing waterfalls, but I also really enjoy walking through green forests and seeing giant trees. Oregon’s coastal forests can be incredibly lush, and this looks like the kind of trail I’d love to spend some time on. I’m hoping to make it out here on another coastal trip.
